About the Author
Scott Tambert has worked with public domain images since 1982. While
an award winning producer of video, print and photographic work, and later
as a brand manager at a publishing company, he consulted with intellectual
property attorneys and The United States Copyright Office to clear the
rights for images. Now a researcher of public domain films, videos
and stills among the collections of Washington, D.C., he enjoys helping
others find images for their projects.
Although he is not a lawyer, and you should always seek competent, professional
counsel on legal matters, he has through experience, research and interviews
gathered some answers for the common situations and practical questions
designers and producers face.
